Sports Luncheon Benefits Youth Sports

The Old Oaken Bucket Luncheon produced by Sequence was held on November 24th in downtown Indianapolis celebrating the annual college football rivalry between Indiana University (IU) and Purdue University (PU). The luncheon raises funds for the Indy Sports Foundation's partnership with USA Football. A portion of the proceeds also goes to IU and PU scholarship funds.

2015 was the first full year the Sports Foundation partnered with USA Football. The Police Athletic League of Indianapolis and Warren Township Football Clubs received Heads Up Football training this summer. Over 60 coaches and 600 players received training. USA Football also gave each league a $1,000 equipment grant through a partnership with Riddell.

The annual luncheon takes place the week of the final regular season game of the year for IU and PU. IU claimed the Old Oaken Bucket in 2015 with the win assuring them a trip to a Bowl game.
