The Annual Old Oaken Bucket Luncheon is Tuesday, November 22 at the Columbia Club in downtown Indianapolis at 11:30am (reception) and 12:00pm for lunch. The event is a friendly celebration to promote one of college football's oldest rivalries between Purdue University and Indiana University. Individual tickets can be purchased online and table sponsorships are still available.
The event is open to the pubic and mostly attended by IU/PU alumni, former players and coaches, athletic department staff and some current football staff. There will be a featured speaker from Indiana and Purdue.
The event is hosted by the non-profit Indy Sports Foundation which was founded in Indianapolis in 1984. The Foundation has partnered with USA Football for this event. Event proceeds will benefit youth football to teach coaches and to provide player safety. A portion of the proceeds also goes to Indiana and Purdue scholarship funds.
The Old Oaken Bucket will be at the Columbia Club and is in the possession of Indiana have won the contest last year. This year's game will be hosted by Indiana University in Bloomington on November 26th.
